Long-time Eureka customers will be delighted to know that the winter session of our game camp is just around the corner! For the past three years, Eureka has been hosting a weeklong day camp for 10- to 15-year-olds who share our enthusiasm for expanding their minds and having fun doing it. It’s a great chance to get out of the house over the school break, make new friends and play some of the most exciting games on the market – all under the direction of Eureka’s dedicated and knowledgeable counselors.
The camp showcases a wide variety of board games, from word and drawing games, to adventure games, to the burgeoning genre of cooperative games. Particular emphasis is placed on strategy games, including such classics as Settlers of Catan, Carcassonne and Portobello Market, which challenge kids to explore new ways of thinking and working with (and against!) each other. In addition, we’ll be featuring some of our favorite recent releases and games just finding a wider audience, among them Dominion, Railways of the World, Dixit and the phenomenally popular cooperative game Forbidden Island.
Camp will be help from February 21 to 25 in the Courtyard Mariott and Edward Devotion School, from 10 am to 4 pm. (Early drop-off and late pick-up will be available from 9 to 5.) To sign up, please contact us as soon as possible, either in the store, by phone at 617-738-7352, or by email at info@eurekapuzzles.com. Help us make this winter’s game camp as big a success as it has been in the past!
